Major Project Completion in the Welsh Valleys

AFG Group is pleased to confirm the successful delivery of a large-scale vegetation management and arboricultural project in the Welsh Valleys, completed on behalf of one of our key clients.

The project involved complex operational planning and the implementation of specialist arboricultural techniques to safely manage trees in challenging terrain. Works were delivered in accordance with detailed risk assessments and method statements, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements throughout the duration of the project.

A key element of the works was the use of advanced technical climbing and controlled sectional dismantling methods, allowing our operatives to safely remove and manage trees in confined and high-risk locations. This included precision tree felling and rigging operations, carried out to minimise risk to surrounding infrastructure, operatives, and members of the public.

The project was completed with zero reportable incidents, reflecting the high standards of training, competence, and supervision across our teams. Robust safety controls, clear communication, and effective site management ensured that all activities were delivered efficiently and in line with industry best practice.

This project also provided an opportunity to demonstrate AFG Group’s technical capability in complex arboricultural environments, further reinforcing our reputation for delivering safe, compliant, and high-quality vegetation management solutions.
